Home Cinema
A Living home cinema is designed like a great room, not a pile of equipment. Acoustics, sightlines, seating, lighting and calibration are engineered together so the result feels effortless.
We design and build everything from a stunning media room to a fully dedicated, acoustically treated cinema using our room in a room™ approach. Every project starts with a 3D design, so you see the room before a cable is pulled.
Our reference systems pair JVC and Sony projection with Screen Excellence screens and speakers from KEF, Bowers & Wilkins and Artcoustic, tuned with Trinnov calibration. As a CEDIA member and one of a handful of Control4 Platinum dealers, our work has featured on Grand Designs and the BBC.
Most of our cinemas are built across Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey and London, but the process travels: we have completed rooms in Jersey, Marbella and the Caribbean. It starts with a conversation and, ideally, a visit to our Poole showroom, where you can hear a reference Dolby Atmos room before you commit to anything.

How much does a home cinema cost?
It depends on the room, the performance level and the finish, which is why we publish an estimator rather than a single number. Tell us the room size and how you will use it and we will give you a realistic range the same day, before any design fees.
Do I need a dedicated room for a home cinema?
No. A media room with a projector or large screen, proper speakers and controlled lighting delivers a fantastic experience in a room the family still uses every day. A dedicated, acoustically treated room is the ultimate, but it is not the only route.
How long does a home cinema installation take?
A media room can be a matter of weeks. A dedicated cinema typically runs a few months from design sign-off to handover, because the room is built as its own acoustic structure before the technology goes in. We agree the programme with your builder or project manager up front.
Is Dolby Atmos worth it in a home cinema?
Yes, when it is designed to the Dolby specification with correctly placed speakers and calibration. Sound from above transforms film soundtracks. Atmos badly retrofitted with two ceiling speakers in the wrong place is not the same thing, which is why design comes first.
