Control4, Savant or Crestron: which is best?
There is no single best, only the best fit. Control4 suits most UK homes for flexibility and value, Savant leads on interface design, and Crestron scales to the largest and most complex projects. We install all three, so our recommendation follows your home, not a sales quota.
Can you add smart home control to an existing house?
Yes. Retrofit is a large part of our work. Wireless lighting control, centralised AV and smart heating can all be added with minimal disruption, and we design around the fabric of the building rather than insisting on a rewire.
What happens to a smart home if the internet goes down?
A properly designed system keeps working. Lighting, heating and AV run on your local network, not the cloud, so an outage only affects remote access and streaming. This is one of the first things we engineer for.
Can you take over a smart home system another company installed?
Yes. The AV Doctors™ service exists for exactly that: we audit the system, recover the accounts and logins, and become your installer of record, whether it is Control4, Lutron, Crestron or Savant.
